Laboratory Test
To ensure high quality and accurate medical laboratory testing, Precision Health & Diagnostic Imaging Centre only partners with laboratory that has obtained international accreditation such as the College of American Pathology (CAP). Apart from the routine exams, forefront technology testing such as LIVERFAST, PHI tests etc., are also available. Once client’s samples are obtained (including tissue samples such as Pap smear, cytology, body fluid, blood, urine, saliva), they will be couriered to the laboratory immediately so that fast analysis is carried out with the quickest result possible.

Liquid Biopsy
Liquid biopsy is a non-invasive, effective, low cost, revolutionary technique for sampling and analyzing unique biomarkers in non-solid tumour tissue through blood sample. These biomarkers after processing will provide critical information on early cancer detection, prognosis, therapeutic target drug selection, monitoring therapeutic response and cancer recurrence. Liquid biopsy includes two types of tumour cell detections: Circulating Tumour Cell (CTC) and Circulating Tumour - DNA (CT-DNA).
Circulating Tumour Cell (CTC) represents an early step in blood-borne metastasis after shedding from a primary tumour focus or relocated sites. Studies have shown that CTC occurs long before a tumour is diagnosed. As cancer dissemination accounts for 80% of cancer deaths, regular CTC assessment (e.g. every 3 – 6 months) provides a real-time information on the disease status so that early effective treatment can be instituted, monitored and amended without the need of invasive solid tissue biopsy. CTC requires 7.5 ml of blood sample for analysis which is quick and minimally traumatic to patients.
Circulating Tumour – DNA (CT-DNA) allows further characterization of the CTC and thus the primary tumour. It is isolated from viable CTC, fragments of tumour after cell death in blood or from the primary tumour (for example, tissues obtained after surgery or biopsy). It provides the mutation status of tumour DNA whereby origin of the tumour, selection of targeted drug therapy, treatment monitoring, prognosis prediction can be assessed. This information is vital as the last two clinical data cannot be obtained once the primary tumour tissue is resected or intervened by minimally invasive methods.
